ON THE PURPOSE OF CHRISTIANITY

Here, I’ll give the succinct answer, and then, the rest of the article will explain it.  The saving Gospel of Yeshua HaMashiach was separated from the Jewish domain to prove what the saving Gospel is and what it can do.  The saving Gospel of Jesus Christ is dependent on Jesus, not the Jew.  Further, and quite important, this article is on the purpose of Christianity, a strand of the Yeshua religion with the Jew absent, but it is not an explanation on the purpose of the church, which will continue into the future with the presence of Israel, the Jew and the Gentile.

ON THE PRESENT STATE OF ISRAEL

Israel is in the process of getting set up to begin to fulfill her call to be a light to the nations.

ON LIFE ON EARTH

Life on Earth is hard, particularly when it comes to managing religion.  A man’s religion generally is dependent on where he was born.  A lost man once pointed that out to me, and not that I didn’t know that, but it is so easy to blend in with the religion that you were born into.  Out of the eight billion people, seven billion of these people claim some sort of religion, and most of these people simply blend into the religion wherewith they were born into.  One by one all these people are filing in line to enter eternity with no visible consolation on what their life was other than knowing that they believed the religion that they were born into.  So you can believe whatever you want and there is little visible proof of what you believe is actually the right religion.  (There is a decent amount of visible proof for the Jesus religion, but it is still set up where you have to believe.)  While the invisible G-d will continue to be invisible, he is going to set a fixed, visible token in the center of the Earth to act as a big help for man, namely Israel.  (Good cf here is Jeremiah 16:19.)

ON THE CALL OF ISRAEL AND THE JEW

The invisible G-d is going to set a visible sign in the center of the Earth to act as a light for the peoples of the Earth, and the name is Israel.  The people linked up with Israel will be the Jews.  The call of the Jew and Israel is to be a light to the nations with reference to the spread of the Gospel (Isa 49:6) and spiritual growth thereafter (Isa 42:6), meaning the Jews in Israel will have judicial power (Isa 51:4), religious authority (Jer 12:16-17), and political power (Isa 60:12) throughout the globe.

ON THE PERPETUITY OF ISRAEL

Were Israel to sit in the center of the Earth for only two hundred years, the factor of longevity simply would not be a big deal.  Israel is NOT going to sit in the center of the Earth for a mere two hundred years, but into perpetuity, like millions of years, thus proving in the material world that the G-d of Israel is, in fact, the real G-d.  No world religion will survive into perpetuity.  (Yes, the present world’s religions will get completely wiped off the face of the Earth, with the high likely hood that new ones will surface.)  No Gentile country will survive into perpetuity.  No Gentile language, except the written form of Koine Greek in the New Testament, will survive into perpetuity.  Only the Jewish culture, Israel, and the Bible will survive in the material world, again proving that the G-d of Israel is the real G-d.  People living in the 21st century will not have the privilege to witness Israel ten thousand years into the future.  The invisible G-d is going to set a visible sign in the center of the Earth as a token for mankind and as a help people to believe in him, not in the false gods.

ON ISRAEL DURING YESHUA’S FIRST ADVENT

Since man is a material being, it is easy for man to be obsessed with the material world, which includes tying the material world to religious matters.  All cults tie up their false doctrine with something in the material world.  Israel, a nation in the material world, was not going to be on the scene when Yeshua died on the cross.  This was to keep people from confusing salvation with Israel.  There is no salvation in Israel, but Israel will play an instrumental role in getting the saving Gospel out to the nations.  There is salvation only in Jesus.

ON A UNIQUE CALL AND UNIQUE RELIGION

With the Jew having gotten the call to lead the way regarding Israel, it is going to be easy for pride to form in their hearts and minds.  I know what it is like to be part of a unique religion because I was born into the Amish.  As a little Amish boy, whenever I would look out into the outside world, I would not view people in the outside world as real people.  Their clothing, their lifestyle, their everything simply was wrong, and they weren’t real people.  They didn’t count.  The derogatory term in the Amish language for non-Amish people is DIE HOCHE.  Why did I not look at die hoche as real people?  My former, unique religion and particularly, the influence of the elder generation caused it.  Imagine being born in Jewry three thousand or thirty thousand years from now.  Israel will have had global dominance for a very long time, with the Gentile nations coming and going, coming and going, coming and going.  It is going to be very easy for the Jew to think of himself as ethnically superior to other people.

ON GETTING TO HEAVEN

After an extensive time of Israel being in the center of the Earth, it is going to be easy for the Jew to think that they are superior and even that it will be necessary for the peoples of the world to go through the Jew to get to heaven.  No, no, no!  To get to heaven, you have to go only through Yeshua.  “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me’ (ESV, John 14:6).”  “And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (ESV, Acts 4:12).”  Even in modern Christendom, there are those domains who claim that man has to go through them in order to get to heaven.  The Roman Catholics are the perfect example in the 21st century.  One website says that you must be a member of the Roman Catholic Church in order to get to heaven.  Another one states, “We believe that subjection to the Roman Pontiff, the Vicar of Jesus Christ, is necessary for salvation by a necessity of divine precept.”  That is saying that if you want to get to heaven and get to G-d that you have to go through them, the RCC!  No, no, no!  Only through Jesus can you make it to heaven!  There appears to be Messianics who are already doing this.  The pride of man wants to say that their domain is the only correct domain in order to get to heaven.  Actually, it is only through Yeshua that a man can get to heaven.  Linking the saving Gospel up to your domain isn’t so much a RCC thing, but a human thing.  The RCC is not the only one who has done such a thing.  In 1900 years of Christianity, I don’t know how many domains have said that man has to go through them, but I’m sure that number is quite high.

ON JOHN 4:22

There is a verse in the New Testament that will cause many Jews to stumble.  “You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews (ESV, John 4:22).”  Yeshua came out of Jewry.  He, in fact, was a Jew, and thus you can say that salvation comes from the Jews, but that does not mean that you have to go through the Jews, or that you have to be Jewish in order to get to heaven.  With the role of the Jew being so paramount, it is going to be a temptation for the Jews of the future to claim that man has to go through them to get to G-d.  The prominent authors coming out of Messianic Judaism acknowledge that salvation has come to the Gentiles.  It is very, very clear that world wide Christianity does not have the Jewish flavor, and yet, the Gentile Christian can get saved and go to heaven because he goes through Jesus to do as such.

ON SEPARATING THE GOSPEL FROM THE JEWISH DOMAIN

With the call of the Jew being so important and prominent, before the Jew was to begin to execute his call to be a light to the nations, the saving Gospel was going to be completely separated from the Jewish domain to prove what the saving Gospel is and what the saving Gospel can do, namely save men from sins and allow him to go to heaven.  The call and role of the Jew is going to be super, super important, but not so important that man will be dependent on the Jew to get to heaven.  The Jews are going to be a light to the nations for a very, very long time, and with that it is going to be very easy to view himself as superior to the other people groups in the world.  Again, so, G-d separated the saving Gospel from the Jewish domain to prove what the saving Gospel is and what it can do, which is save man from his sins, but the saving Gospel does not have to go through the Jew.

ON PROOF OF SEPARATING THE GOSPEL FROM THE JEWISH DOMAIN

Pardon my English, but if life on Earth lasts until the year two billion, this tiny, small era called Christianity and the spiritual state of the Jews during this time called Christianity will forever be embedded in the New Testament.  There are plenty of verses that cover the spiritual state of the Jews during this first era called Christianity.  Here is a selection of those verses: Matt 13:13-15; Matt 21:42; Mark 12:10; Luke 20:17; Acts 4:11; I Peter 2:7; Matt 23:7; Luke 13:34; Luke 21:24; John 1:11; John 12:39-40; Acts 13:46; Acts 18:4-6; Acts 28:27; Acts 28:28; Rom 9:1-3; Rom 10:1-3; Rom 11:7; Rom 11:11-12; Rom 11:13-14; Rom 11:23-24; Rom 11:25-26; I Co 1:23 & II Co 3:14-16.  These verses are not there to fly in the face of the Jews or to incite antisemitic actions toward them.  They are there to remind them/us of the first era after the ascension of the Messiah, particularly as it pertains to their spiritual state.  While Christianity does not get its own verse or chapter in the Bible because Christianity has been led by Gentiles, the spiritual state of the Gentiles and the Jews during this first era after the ascension of the Messiah will forever be embedded in the New Testament.  The Jew will not have the right to take the saving Gospel and link that up to Messianic Judaism and say that in order to get to heaven, you have to go through the Jew and Messianic Judaism.  You have to go through Yeshua only in order to get to heaven.  BTW, Messianic Judaism will do far, far more than what Christianity has done, but the saving Gospel is still the saving Gospel.

FURTHER NOTE

There are plenty of Messianics who acknowledge that Gentile Christians are real believers.  For those Messianics who accept it, it is a good thing.  The Messianics should know that they will be taking over the body of the Mashiach.
